What is Secret Paws?

Many of your  humans may have participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange before and that's exactly what the Secret Paws is, except it's for us kitties who have a blog in the Cat Blogosphere!  It's a chance to exchange gifts, share the holiday spirit, and get to know other kitties from around the world during the holiday season.  

The first step is to submit your name and information to us by sending the requested information (click on the Information Tab above) through email by November 8, 2014.  Our email address is sweetpurrfections@sc.rr.com.

We'll collect all of the names during this time.  When we get your request, we'll send you a response that we've received your request and list your name, blog address and email address on the "participants' tab".  We'll also send you a request to become an author on the Secret Paws 2014 blog so you can post your preparation and receipt of presents.

After the November 8 deadline, we'll put all of the names into a random name generator to match you up with another kitty.  We'll double check to make sure you weren't matched with yourself and that we aren't requiring anyone to send anything out of the country if they aren't able.  After all of the details are worked out and everyone is matched up appropriately, we'll forward the information of your match to your email account by November 15.  

We like the idea of the Secret Paw (sender) remaining secret until the recipient receives their package.  Make sure you include your name, email address, and blog address in the package when you send it.

We're asking that everyone limit their packages to no more than $25.00 and send your package by December 12, 2013 (earlier for international posts).  Some kitties in the past have also included a little gift for the human, too!  

Once you receive your package, please acknowledge the receipt by posting pictures of you enjoying your gifts on your personal blog and on the Secret Paws 2014 blog.
